We have various roles available.

Sample roles:

Caseworker

A caseworker will support individuals with a print disability by helping them acquire print accessible publications like books to clients. Full technical support is available.

Responsibilities (can be varied depending on experience)

  • Working with clients to access the correct formats for their difficulty.
  • Using IT to maintain records of interactions with clients.
  • Adhering to our data protection policy.

Trustee

A trustee will form part of our board and be responsible for specific sections of the charity:

Responsibilities (can be varied depending on experience)

  • Assist with the day to day operations of the charity
  • Provide support to other volunteers
  • Help to develop a strategy to assist clients with print difficulties

About The Reading Circle

We support those with difficulties and supporting organsations to access print material and if they are not available, we can create accessible copies of materials in certain circumstances. We also aim to accept referrals from a variety of practitioners like GPs, mental health teams and other public sector orgnanistaions for support like this.
