Yeovil Freewheelers EVS requires a volunteer Events Coordinator to identify fundraising events (such as fetes, shows, Supermarket/shopping centre bookings, etc), book event attendance and report into our Fundraising Lead and work with our team of volunteer fundraisers.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience of a similar role and will be a confident fundraiser. They will report directly to our Fundraising Lead, and will be required to organise event attendance, ensure that our display equipment is allocated as required and also ensure that manning requirements are understood and met for the various events.
Yeovil Freewheelers is the UK's longest serving Blood Bike charity. We are innovators, enthusiasts and servants of the community, all rolled into one - and we are a family, first and foremost.

About YFW Bloodbikes (Yeovil Freewheelers)
YFW provide emergency courier relief to countless NHS organisations in Somerset and Dorset, carrying blood, medicines, samples and medical equipment to name a few, between hospitals, care homes, patients and laboratories. The team consists of a fleet of eight motorcycles, delivering completely free of charge to the NHS.
During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the fleet volunteered to taking on double the workload for Yeovil Hospital and other surrounding hospitals, which included the daily delivery of 1000’s of COVID-19 swabs throughout the country for testing daily. Throughout the peak, the team were covering nearly 25,000 miles a month; compared to the 10,000 they were doing pre-COVID.
