We need an enthusiastic IT Support Volunteer to help customers who struggle with computers and phones

Street Community Library is looking for someone who loves IT and would be able to help customers who are struggling with apps, emails, completing forms online or searching for info on their phones, tablets or iPads.

Initially, we are looking for someone who can offer a couple of hours twice a month.  A library computer will be available if needed.

Your support will help people gain confidence and become more independent with IT. Helping people will give you a sense of satisfaction and pride in a job well done.

If you think you can offer help please contact us so that we can arrange a meeting.

If DBS Clearance is required it will be funded by The Friends of Street Library.

About The Friends of Street Library

The Friends of Street Library has expanded its activities. The new library arrangements - its new position opposite the old library building and the new financial arrangements whereby Street Parish Council and Somerset County Council share the ongoing costs of the library - mean there is a new role for the Friends of Street Library. FoStL is responsible for organising and training the volunteers who are working alongside the professional library staff and in order to have a bigger say in the decision making process FoStL has applied for and been granted CIO status. (CIO or Charitable Incorporated Organisation)
