About The Friends of Street Library

The Friends of Street Library has expanded its activities. The new library arrangements - its new position opposite the old library building and the new financial arrangements whereby Street Parish Council and Somerset County Council share the ongoing costs of the library - mean there is a new role for the Friends of Street Library. FoStL is responsible for organising and training the volunteers who are working alongside the professional library staff and in order to have a bigger say in the decision making process FoStL has applied for and been granted CIO status.
