Summary
his small, friendly group has been back up and running for a few months now, encouraging the families of Taunton to explore the nature on their doorstep.Detailed description
Wildlife Watch is the junior branch of The Wildlife Trusts, and is the UK's leading club for young environmentalists. Local Watch groups run a varied programme of environmental and wildlife focused activities that are fun, interesting and inspiring. Watch aims to enthuse children aged 6-12 years old, and their families, to build life-long relationships with nature and take action to protect wildlife.
Helpers are a key part of the Wildlife Watch groups and play an essential role in making sessions fun and memorable. Our Taunton Watch Group Leader would like support to run the monthly Sunday sessions (usually run in the afternoon).
Helpers may have a range of different skills but there are a few qualities we look for in every helper:
• An enthusiasm for wildlife and the natural world (but you don’t need to be an expert!)
• An enthusiasm for working with and relating to children, young people and their families.
• To be happy to work with the Leader and support sessions
• Experience of working with young people would be a benefit to this role
• A sense of fun
