Key duties include managing budgets, preparing financial reports, ensuring legal compliance, and advising the board on financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Provide the board with clear and understandable financial reports, helping them stay informed about the charity’s overall financial health.
- Strategic Support: Offer guidance on the financial aspects of strategic decisions, ensuring the charity has the resources to achieve its goals.
- Financial Management: Oversee the charity’s day-to-day finances, including budgeting and maintaining effective accounting practices and controls.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the charity meets all legal and regulatory requirements. This includes preparing accounts for the board and funders and overseeing the appointment of auditors.
- Asset Management: Monitor the charity’s investments and ensure an appropriate investment strategy is followed.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all income and expenditure.
