We are looking for one or more volunteers to assist in the office all day on Thursdays (9-5) and Sunday afternoons (1-5).

Volunteer office staff are essential to the effective operation of Prickles Hedgehog Rescue. Key responsibilities include:

  • Answering phone calls promptly and responding to messages.This often includes calls from the public relating to hedgehogs they have found.
  • Monitoring and responding to emails throughout the day.
  • Collecting and distributing incoming mail.
  • Maintaining accurate records, including care records for hedgehogs.
  • Coordinating with the Team Leader and Volunteer Coordinator regarding volunteer absence.
  • Ensuring sufficient supplies of hedgehog/volunteer forms.
  • Sending thank you letters as required.
  • Greeting and assisting visitors.
  • Processing new admissions and updating the database accordingly.
