Summary

Working directly with people living with or affected by MND you'll build great relationships through active listening, providing information + emotional support

Detailed description

You may carry out your volunteering face-to-face in people's home, through digital routes such as phonecalls and/or through support at our support meetings.


Examples of what the role involves include:


  • Help people affected by MND make informed choices and access appropriate services / support
  • Explaining to people living with and affected by MND how the MND Association can support them
  • Recording information following our guidelines and local protocols
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with our staff, other volunteers and external professionals
  • Attending support and supervision meetings as well as development events

At the MND Association our vision is a world free from MND. We operate across England, Wales and Northern Ireland with two volunteer led branches operating in Somerset.
