Tuesdays & Thursdays throughout the school summer holiday starting 2nd August until 30th Aug.
10am - 12.30pm or 10am - 3pm.

Detailed description

Our sessions are entirely outside and volunteers would need to be happy to attend in all weathers.

Volunteers help mainly with the supervision of children, therefore experience of working with children is an advantage; however, this opportunity is open to all.

There’s a chance to learn new skills, so this could suit someone who is training or someone wanting to change career to work with children, as well as people wishing work with the community.

There's' also the opportunity to share skills & knowledge you may already have, for example: natural or traditional crafts, knowledge about the natural environment and nature.

There is no specific requirement for how many or which sessions you volunteer for.

Our school holiday club is run in a forest school style encouraging independence & free choice. Set in a woodland, participants get a break from the stresses & strains of modern life. We believe participants benefit from the social aspect of sessions; building independence and confidence as well as useful life skills. The outdoors and natural environment is now well known as having a positive impact on mental health.
