Detailed description

Do you love singing? Would you have a bit of time to spare once a month to help with a Golden Oldies singing group where you’ll be singing songs from the 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s? Spark Somerset is working in partnership with the Golden Oldies to set up some new singing groups in the communities of Bruton, Wincanton, Queen Camel, Milborne Port & Crewkerne over the coming months. We’re starting in Bruton with two taster sessions on 3rd March and 7th April from 10-11.30am at Bruton Community Hall. We need helpers who will either lead the singing or with refreshments and generally joining in! Let us know if you can get involved, in either of these towns.

About Golden Oldies

Sing and smile charity
We run our popular singing and activity sessions across England and Wales. Those attending are older people who are socially isolated as well as people with learning difficulties and dementia. For many “Goldies” is their lifeline and we hear this at every session from the people who attend.
