Detailed description

Diversity Voice is looking for new trustees for its Board. The Board, which is responsible for the overall governance, monitoring and strategic direction of the charity, works with management to ensure that the charity fulfils its objectives, as set out in its governing documents, in accordance with the charity’s vision and mission, and that the organisation comply with all legal and regulatory instruments.

 

The objects of Diversity Voice are to promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people from becoming socially excluded or discriminated against, relieving the needs of those people who are socially excluded or discriminated against and assisting them to integrate into society.

 

Brief description of Trustee role


• governing the organisation, setting policy, strategy, and use of funds.

• general control and management of the administration

• understanding of how the charity benefits the public

• ensure compliance with the charity law and other legal requirements

Address of where volunteering is to take place: Diversity Voice, Victoria Park Community Centre, Victoria Park Drive, Bridgwater, TA6 7AS

Start Date: as soon as possible

End Date: Ongoing.

Time commitment of volunteers: 4-5 days per year

Number of hours required: 3 hours per session
