Summary
Friends of Watch volunteers will help to provide additional funding through social events for Chard Watch and contribute to our financial sustainability.Detailed description
Friends of Watch are people who support the Watch project through volunteering their time and/or financial support in the form of regular or one-off donations.
As a Friend of Watch, you will play an important role in raising awareness of the Project through marketing and publicity. You may love organising events aimed at raising funds and promoting the work of the Project – a coffee morning, cake sale, a walk! You could attend fundraising events to promote Friends of Watch. We would love to hear your ideas on how we can promote our project and raise funds. This could even be a great role to take on alongside friends and/or family!
You will have an outgoing personality and may bring some fundraising experience to the Project. The best person for this role will be friendly and approachable, creative and able to organise. Some experience or knowledge of mental health challenges and services could help you to inspire and inform others about the work of Chard Watch.
Our project is a lovely setting to work in and you’ll be warmly welcomed into this. We also recognise that training and development are very important and we offer a range of on-going training opportunities and emotional and professional support to all our volunteers. Our volunteers have said that they also:
· Get a sense of satisfaction in knowing you are helping others to make a difference
· Receive support as part of a rewarding team
· Gain new skills and experience
· Have the opportunity to access activities for their own health and wellbeing
· Take pleasure in seeing others benefit from their skills and experience
