To raise funds for the branch or group by initiating and supporting local fundraising activities.
Tasks
- To organise a variety of fundraising events on behalf of the branch or group
- To organise street collections in accordance with Local Authority requirements
- To be responsible for static collecting tins, ensuring the guidance for use, recording, collecting
etc is followed
- To encourage local organisations and companies to fundraise on behalf of the Association
- To liaise with the Association in support of fundraising events co-ordinated nationally
- To liaise with the Association’s Regional Fundraiser (RF)
Skills or experience that would be helpful
- · Experience of fundraising or organising events would be an advantage but not essential
- · Good oral and written communication skills
- · Ability to recognise potential opportunities for funding
How will you be supported?
- Thorough induction into the Association and the role
- Ongoing support from regional and national staff
- Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses
- Access to a range of workshops and events
Time commitment
Flexible depending on availability. A willingness to attend some Committee meetings would be beneficial.
