Summary

To raise funds for the branch or group by initiating and supporting local fundraising activities.

Detailed description

Tasks

  • To organise a variety of fundraising events on behalf of the branch or group
  • To organise street collections in accordance with Local Authority requirements
  • To be responsible for static collecting tins, ensuring the guidance for use, recording, collecting

      etc is followed

  • To encourage local organisations and companies to fundraise on behalf of the Association
  • To liaise with the Association in support of fundraising events co-ordinated nationally
  • To liaise with the Association’s Regional Fundraiser (RF)


Skills or experience that would be helpful

  • · Experience of fundraising or organising events would be an advantage but not essential
  • · Good oral and written communication skills
  • · Ability to recognise potential opportunities for funding


How will you be supported?

  • Thorough induction into the Association and the role
  • Ongoing support from regional and national staff
  • Reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses
  • Access to a range of workshops and events


Time commitment

Flexible depending on availability. A willingness to attend some Committee meetings would be beneficial.
