Rugby Coach

Is this role for you ?

You will be responsible for training and developing a team of young players and providing a high quality, safe and enjoyable experience for children. This is an exciting and rewarding way to be involved in the game and help England Rugby have more people, playing more rugby, more often. You will be required to: Plan, deliver and review active, purposeful, enjoyable and safe training sessions that will develop individual player’s confidence, creativity, character, connection and competence using a player-centred approach. Role model and reward Rugby’s core values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship Have a clear coaching and playing philosophy which is based on an inclusive and developmentally appropriate learning environment that meets the needs of every player Undertake regular coach development training to ensure that coaches have the requisite knowledge, skills and attributes to safely and effectively coach young players. Are you keen and enthusiastic and willing to work towards holding an England Rugby Coaching Award? Are you knowledgeable about the game, committed to an inclusive approach and good with children? This is a responsible, influential and highly respected role within community sport. A coach will impact more young people in a year than the average person does in a lifetime.
