Discover the meadow saffron aka 'autumn crocus' that grows at Sutton Bingham Reservoir during our fascinating survey that aims to establish its abundance and monitor this year on year. These pink flowers that are seen in the late summer/early autumn are typical of unimproved grasslands like the ones at Sutton Bingham bringing a splash of colour, interest and diversity to the meadow areas at this time of the year.

This event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages and abilities, and is a great way to get some exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. No surveying experience required.

Getting there

We will be meeting in the picnic car park in front of the toilet block. Parking is free.
