Summary

Yeovil Rivers Community Trust dormouse survey at Sutton Bingham Fishing Lodge

Detailed description

Join us on Tue 18th June 2024 at 10am at the Sutton Bingham Reservoir fishing lodge in Yeovil, BA22 9QP, what3words

Our monthly dormouse surveys are an amazing opportunity to learn about one of Britain's rarest mammals. Monitoring the dormouse boxes at Sutton Bingham Reservoir as part of the National Dormouse Monitoring Programme (NDMP) with licensed ecologist Alexia.

Please note that seeing dormice isn't guranteed. Although, the boxes are put up in areas where we saw dormice last year, so we hope to get positive records again.

If you can't make this date we will be repeating the survey in Sept or Oct, so keep your eyes peeled for an additional date.

This event is perfect for nature lovers of all ages and abilities, and is a great way to get some exercise, fresh air, and sunshine. No surveying experience required.

Getting there

We will be meeting outside the fishing lodge at Sutton Bingham Reservoir. Parking is free.
