Enthusiastic co-ordinator needed to revive our Walking Football Club and make use of our astroturf facility for this fun game.

YMCA Taunton is dedicated to fostering community spirit, promoting healthy living, and providing opportunities for people of all ages to stay active. Our astroturf 3G facility is a perfect venue for sports and recreational activities.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Walking Football Coordinator to revive and manage our Walking Football Club. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the local community by encouraging fitness, fun, and social interaction among participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Programme Revival: Restart and promote the Walking Football Club, attracting new members and re-engaging past participants.
- Session Coordination: Organise and lead weekly walking football sessions on our astroturf 3G facility.
- Community Engagement: Build a welcoming and inclusive environment, fostering camaraderie and teamwork among players.
- Health & Safety: Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with YMCA Taunton’s guidelines and policies.
- Feedback & Improvement: Gather feedback from participants to continually improve the programme and ensure it meets their needs and interests.
- Liaise with YMCA Staff: work with Marketing Officer to promote the club.

- Leadership Skills: Ability to motivate and manage a group of participants, ensuring everyone enjoys their time on the pitch.
- Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse group of people.
