Detailed description
We are looking for someone who would like to help people to benefit from timebanking in Minehead.
Timebanking is a free and safe way for people to help each other out. For each hour someone gives, helping another, they get a time credit. These can be used to get help when needed or learn new skills. Everyone's time is equal.
Timebanking UK (the national charity supporting timebanking in communities) is working with local partners to develop a timebank in Minehead.
If you care about tackling loneliness and other local issues, and enjoy chatting with people, you would suit this role. Timebanking UK will give support and training to help you. You will promote the scheme locally mainly by talking with people and groups. We can support you with printed materials and social media.
You can fit this role flexibly around your day, and will receive time credits as well as the training and support. We could also cover expenses for travel.
