Project Co-Ordinator

PROJECT CO-ORDINATOR ROLE

·       Takes oversight and co-ordination responsibility for a specific aspect of the festival e.g. a specific venue, the visitor trail and transport, local business liaison, public facilities, volunteer placement, designer liaison, evaluation

·       Plans sphere of responsibility in a dynamic way and communicates this with team

·       Liaises by phone, email and occasional physical meeting with festival management with updates, progress checks and queries

·       Liaises by phone and email with external parties as necessary for their area of responsibility e.g. equipment suppliers, council officers, volunteer agencies

·       Researches and sources equipment or other solutions to the problems raised in their sphere of responsibility

·       Takes initiative and contributes ideas to the festival team as a whole

·       Builds communication, persuasion, project management, contingency planning, reflection and teamwork skills

·       Time commitment flexible – can be any number of evenings, weekends, part of employer community time etc
