We are looking for volunteers to be a welcoming face within the cafe. This won't involve serving food and you will receive a free meal and hot drinks

The Good Heart is a cafe and a community space dedicated to promoting wellbeing, kindness and inclusivity. We have caterers serving food every day except Sunday and we offer a Pay It Forward system where free meals are available to those who need them. We serve free hot drinks to everyone and run many free drop in groups throughout each week. Our ethos is about making everyone feel welcomed and valued and having access to support services that they need ( by providing these ourselves or signposting to other local organisations)

We are a Warm Space again this year which means we extend our daily cafe hours and set up more free drop in groups to address issues such as loneliness, financial anxiety, climate concerns, mental health concerns and many more.

With the increase of visitors during Warm Spaces ( November until April 2024) we are looking for volunteers to be in the cafe to welcome and inform people about The Good Heart and what we have on offer. This might just involve sitting alongside others and helping when needed or being more actively involved in making hot drinks ( No fancy coffee machines, just boiling a kettle)

Training and support provided. We are looking for 1 or 2 individuals to be in the cafe every day except Sundays between 11.30am and 2/3pm.
