Join Our Team
The Friends of Street Library are looking for a friendly, reliable volunteer to join our Trustees as Treasurer.
You don’t need to be a qualified accountant to make a real difference. If you’re comfortable with a spreadsheet and like keeping things organised, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
- Keep us on track: Record money coming in (donations, grants) and going out (books, materials, events)
- Stay organised: Spend a few hours each month updating simple financial records
- Be part of the team: Join our monthly meetings and help shape the future of Street Community Library

The Friends of Street Library has expanded its activities. The new library arrangements - its new position opposite the old library building and the new financial arrangements whereby Street Parish Council and Somerset County Council share the ongoing costs of the library - mean there is a new role for the Friends of Street Library. FoStL is responsible for organising and training the volunteers who are working alongside the professional library staff and in order to have a bigger say in the decision making process FoStL has applied for and been granted CIO status. (CIO or Charitable Incorporated Organisation)
