The Friends of Street Library would like to promote themselves more but we aren't experts in social media. Can you help us?
Love social media? Help our library trend!
The Friends of Street Library are looking for a creative volunteer to join our Trustees and help us reach more people online.
If you enjoy Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok and want to use your skills for something meaningful, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do
• Spread the word: Help promote our books, groups, and events
• Grow our audience: Share updates and ideas on Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
• Be part of the team: Join a relaxed monthly meeting to help shape what we do
Why Get Involved?
• Support your community: Help more people discover everything Street Community Library offers
• Use your creativity: Turn your social media skills into real impact
• Flexible & friendly: Volunteer in a way that fits around you, with a welcoming, supportive team
You don’t need to be an expert—just enthusiastic, reliable, and happy to share ideas.
Not sure you can commit alone? This role can be shared.
Interested? We’d love a chat!

About The Friends of Street Library
The Friends of Street Library has expanded its activities. The new library arrangements - its new position opposite the old library building and the new financial arrangements whereby Street Parish Council and Somerset County Council share the ongoing costs of the library - mean there is a new role for the Friends of Street Library. FoStL is responsible for organising and training the volunteers who are working alongside the professional library staff and in order to have a bigger say in the decision making process FoStL has applied for and been granted CIO status. (CIO or Charitable Incorporated Organisation)
