The Community Youth Project is looking for adult volunteers to establish a constituted community group who will take responsibility for governing youth provision in Tintinhull.

Group members will be supported to establish a small charity or constituted group.

The group will have responsibility for fundraising and liaising with youth work providers.

Volunteers do not need any previous experience in being a trustee or running a charity.

We are looking for people who want to make a positive difference to the lives of young people living in Tintinhull.

You will need time for meeting initially twice a month and then once the group is established and constituted, monthly.

We are looking for a minimum of three people.

You will need to provide references and we will support you with DBS clearance.

All welcome , especially anyone with previous experience of participation in formal groups or forums such as school governors, parish councils, or anyone with previous trustee experience or running a business.

Providing support for young people in South Somerset

The Community Youth Project was born in response to the demise of Community Youth Services. In the face of this, a number of local councils in South Somerset who were dedicated to supporting their young people got together to explore the provision of a sustainable youth worker resource which could be efficiently employed across their communities.
