Summary
We are looking for 2-3 volunteer befrienders willing to join our national befriending scheme and provide home visits to service users in later life.Detailed description
Our befriending schemes are an important part of our charitable service delivery. We operate home visits to service users experiencing loneliness or social isolation. The visits are home-based only and offer friendship and companionship on a flexible timetable (e.g. fortnightly, weekly or monthly depending on availability). All volunteers have references checked, undergo a basic DBS Check and undergo training before being matched with a service user. Our service users are based in Taunton. Volunteers should be over the age of 18 and able to commit for at least 6 months.
