This group runs on a Wednesday, 10am to 3:30pm, but the role could be from 10am to 12:30pm, or from 1pm to 3:30pm if you can’t make all day. The role involves assisting someone with learning disabilities so that they can garden – it could be sifting soil or pricking out seedlings in the greenhouse. The group enjoy each other’s company and welcome volunteers as part of their group. As a volunteer, you will need to be DBS checked beforehand (carried out by us) but you don’t need to know anything about gardening. It would be useful if you had experience of working with people with learning disabilities – but it’s not essential.
