Fundraiser

Taunton Team Chaplaincy has a need for a volunteer to help with fund raising.

External grants need to be obtained to meet running expenses in addition to donations from churches and private individuals. The work would involve working with the chair of trustees and Lead Chaplain to identify sources of grant funding and writing grant applications. Creative ideas for attracting donations would also be welcome.

The person will be sympathetic to the caring and compassionate nature of our work.

We are an organisation with a Christian ethos but will help everyone. Although the work will not be needed all the time, other than keeping an eye on grant opportunities, it should not involve more than 1-2 hours per week on average. Ability to do on line work would be important. The experience would be useful for helping other charities in future because the basics and strategies for fund raising are common to most charities. The person doing this would gain great satisfaction from helping a charity to continue to do its work which has the wellbeing of our fellow men and women at its heart.
