Summary

We aim to expand on our Wellbeing Wednesday sessions where we provide a safe space with a listening ear, friendship, laughter and coffee and cake

Detailed description

We wish to expand on our Wellbeing Wednesday project and are looking for someone to organise and run the sessions. This involves preparing and attending the sessions in church on a Wednesday and it is possible the session will run on some Fridays as well. We do have volunteers to help and will be looking for more.

We will have the Samaritans running their outreach hub during the sessions to offer specialist assistance. We provide games such as bingo, kurling, skittles, connect, monopoly and resources for crafts.

If you have a desire to make people feel at ease and able to open up with any problems they may have, or just to chat and perhaps signpost them to other organisations who can help them, then this opportunity could be for you. It may be that those who come in are lonely and just want somewhere to go where they feel welcome and so being able to communicate well would be a great asset.
