CAFE SUPERVISER/MANAGER

We are a friendly team of volunteers who are working at St Mary's Church to build up a lively cafe where people can come and enjoy a safe friendly cup of coffee and light lunch. We have been granted £20,900 from the Government Covid Recovery Grant and have been able to buy some amazing cafe furniture and equipment. We can now provide the most wonderful toasted sandwiches, filled baked potatoes, soup etc etc, offering vegetarian options and gluten free. We are aiming to build up a hub in Bridgwater by holding group activities where we can offer refreshments and make these group activities lively and fun. We want to do this for the elderly, those with dementia, young families and the rest of the community.

We have come a long way but we would like to open up more days in the week and therefore need more help from volunteers to do this.

You would be working with another volunteer to work things out! Training of the volunteers has already taken place via Highspeed Training (Level 2 food hygiene for catering and allergens), so a lot of the work has been done.
