a week to offer the church you may be just the person we are looking for.
St Mary’s Church Cafe
is seeking a
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has retired
from full time employment but is not ready to put their feet up
or who, following a change in circumstances, has time to offer
and is looking to use skills gained through their working life.
Working alongside experienced and enthusiastic volunteers, job satisfaction
is guaranteed in a happy, safe, friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
We are hoping that in the future this role will have some remuneration as the post develops and becomes successful.

- Lead the team of volunteers, offering a consistent and high quality daily service to customers
- Ensure compliance at all times with all Health & Safety and Food handling regulations
- Recruit and train voluntary staff as necessary from time to time to ensure sufficient cover for opening. Times to be agreed.
- Maintain and further develop the working and serving atmosphere of the Café as a welcoming place for all helping to encourage the community to use our beautiful church as a lovely place to meet, eat and drink and enjoy. The Café has been closed due to COVID but we are now in a position to re-open.
