Summary

We are looking for a voluntary cake maker to join our team, to create cakes, biscuits and other pastries for the patients, staff and visitors.

Detailed description

St Margaret’s is looking for people to join the team who will bring their skills, talent and enthusiasm to the heart of our organisation as we respond to the changing needs of our community.


If you have experience of and enjoy baking cakes and can share in our vision and enthusiasm to make a difference, we would love to talk to you about this role and the work of St Margaret’s.

Time commitment

·      The commitment of a cake making volunteer is a Thursday or Friday afternoon, once a fortnight, at a time that suits you.

·      You are required to attend induction and update training 


We are looking for someone with the following:

·      People skills

·      Enthusiasm

·      Attention to detail

·      Willing to undertake Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and Food Standards Agency Allergen Certificate including Natasha’s Law .

About St Margarets Hospice Care

We are committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Our care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
