Summary
This role provides telephone support from hospice premises to bereaved relatives and friends fully supported by our Bereavement Support StaffDetailed description
As a bereavement support volunteer you will provide information and low level emotional support for those who have been affected by the death of a person close to them who has been in the care of St Margaret’s Somerset Hospice Care.
Active listening and good verbal communication skills are vital for this role.
- You are required to attend induction, update training and regular supervision
- For this role we are required to complete a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

We are committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Our care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
