Why we need you

St Margaret’s is looking for someone to join the Lymphoedema Team to support the team with general duties. We need someone who will bring their skills, talent and enthusiasm to the heart of our organisation as we respond to the changing needs of our community.

What you will be doing

The Lymphoedema Volunteer typical tasks may include:

  • Receiving deliveries of compression garments, double checking item and quantity is correct.
  • Preparing and despatching to patient via post or telephone patient to arrange collection.
  • Updating systems & spreadsheets.

What we need from you

  • A minimum commitment of 1 day a week for 6 months
  • As part of our commitment to safer volunteer recruitment practices, volunteers interested in this role, will be required to provide two references and attend an interview.
  • Applicants will need to be 18+ to carry out this volunteer role.

About St Margarets Hospice Care

We are committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to patients and their families living in Somerset and parts of neighbouring counties. Our care is available for those who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
