Summary
Want to make a big impact in Somerset? Join our Board of Trustees and help local voluntary groups and charities to thrive!Detailed description
We’re on a mission to help change lives and build healthy, resilient communities in Somerset.
We do this by supporting and championing local VCFSE (voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise) organisations and providing a range of services, training and advice.
Pivotal to our success in this mission is our exceptional Board of Trustees. We are looking for a passionate individual who can join us and help lead our charity as we support and empower voluntary sector organisations to make an even bigger impact.
As a trustee, you will:
- Work as part of our Board team to assist the Chair, Trustees and Senior Leadership Team to fulfil our duties and responsibilities for the proper financial governance of the charity.
- Support our work with new and existing partners to create a strong and vibrant voluntary sector in Somerset .
- We are particularly interested in hearing from people with legal, HR and funding experience.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who shares our vision and enthusiasm to make a difference in their local community, is an inspiring leader, and loves to think ahead. Whilst previous experience of being a trustee is helpful, it’s not essential – if you understand the value of the local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise sector and are looking for your next big challenge, we would love to hear from you!
Our goal is to represent the sector and we believe a diverse voice is a more powerful one. Therefore, we particularly welcome applications from under-represented groups and those who actively support the communities we serve.
If you would like to help us create a Somerset where anyone can make great things happen for their communities, click the purple 'join' button and we will be in touch with further information about the role and details of how to apply.
The closing date for this opportunity is 5pm on Sunday 28 January.
