Join the team of volunteers at this lively community resource to lead or support the Carers Group.
The Carers Group gives unpaid carers of friends and family members the opportunity to take a much needed break, socialise with other carers, share experiences, laugh, cry and find out how to access local information, resources, and other sources of support.
We need a volunteer to join the team of volunteers who lead the group. Duties would include
- Advertising on facebook
- Welcoming Carers as they arrive
- Enabling Carers to access group peer support through leading the group conversation
- Listening to carers and signposting where needed (information provided)
- Booking speakers (support and information provided)
- Monthly phone call to each group member
- working within guidelines and policy
- Undertaking a small amount of online training and face to face occasional meetings
