This busy and friendly group meet on a monthly basis and need some support with organising the sessions and general administration.
Carers Groups give unpaid carers of friends and family the opportunity to take a much needed break, socialise with other carers, share experiences, laugh, cry and find out how to access local information, resources, and other sources of support.
The Ilminster group meet for lunch on a monthly basis and are looking for someone to help with general admin such as..
- Contacting Carers before the meeting
- Booking their meal orders
- Helping with fund raising
- Possibly help with arranging speakers
- Undertaking online training and face to face occasional meetings
At the monthly group, you would also
- Welcome Carers as they arrive, help new attendees feel safe and valued.
- Encourage empathy and mutual support, developing a nurturing confidential environment
- Helping people make friends and share experiences.
