Are you committed to Devon and Somerset’s wonderful heritage? The South West Heritage Trust is looking for up to four people to join its Board of Trustees and to bring their knowledge, skills and enthusiasm to the Trust’s governance during a time of opportunity and change. Being a trustee is a way of helping make a real difference.

About Us

The Trust is a charity and limited company which delivers heritage services in Devon and Somerset relating to archives, museums and the historic environment. There are six main sites as well as over 400 acres of landscape heritage. We have more than 100,000 visitors a year, including 10,000 young people who participate in our learning programmes.

Representing our Communities

We recognise that diversity in all its forms can make the Trust a better and stronger organisation. We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds. We especially encourage applications from minority ethnic people, people with disabilities, younger people and LGBTQ+ people. We’re also seeking to ensure that the board has an appropriate gender balance. We want to strengthen the Board’s effectiveness in relation to marketing, business and cultural engagement.

Interviews will be held on Tuesday 15 July at the Somerset Heritage Centre.
