Somerset Youth Theatre CIC is looking for inspiring and forward-thinking

  • Financial Advisor to support the strategic development and future steps of the organisation.

To join our Volunteer Board of Advisors

Location: Remote, with occasional meetings in Taunton, Somerset, UK.

Commitment: Flexible hours, approximately 3-5 hours per month, with additional 4 x 2hr Board of Advisor, online meetings per year

You will:

  • Professional experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strategic thinking and a proven ability to provide financial advice at a leadership level.
  • Knowledge of financial management principles and practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic financial guidance and vision as part of the Board of Advisors.
  • Assist in budgeting, financial planning, and monitoring of financial performance.
  • Develop financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and sustainability.
  • Support and advise on funding opportunities and financial risks.
  • Collaborate with the SYT team to align financial strategies with organisational goals and mission.
