Make a difference through cricket – volunteer with Super 1 and help young people with disabilities build confidence, friendships and skills.

Super 1 Volunteer

Role Purpose

As a Super 1 Volunteer, you will support the delivery of fun, inclusive and engaging cricket sessions for young people with disabilities. You will help create a welcoming environment where participants can develop their cricket skills, build confidence, make friends and enjoy being active.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support coaches to deliver Super 1 cricket sessions.
  • Help set up and pack away equipment safely.
  • Encourage participants to get involved and enjoy activities.
  • Provide additional encouragement and support where needed.
  • Promote teamwork, social interaction and fair play.
  • Support games, activities and competitions.
  • Build positive relationships with participants, families and volunteers.
  • Follow safeguarding, health and safety and organisational procedures.
  • Share feedback with the coach to help improve sessions.

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need previous coaching experience. We are looking for friendly, reliable and enthusiastic people who enjoy working with young people and want to make a positive difference through sport. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

About Somerset Cricket Foundation

The Somerset Cricket Foundation exists to support, grow and diversify grassroots cricket as well as to use the power of cricket to develop communities and make a positive difference to people’s lives. The trustees of the Somerset Cricket Foundation are all volunteers and they oversee a team of ten full-time and one part-time members of staff to deliver the strategic aims and objectives of the charity.
