Volunteer Coordinator

Tasks would involve but not be limited to:

• Managing an online diary, allocating volunteers to specific tasks
• Supporting and encouraging volunteers
• Fielding questions (e.g health and safety queries)
• Liaising with internal project managers (often just one)
• Handling liaison with external organisations

An interest in gardening would be good but not essential. Coaching into the role will be provided. The coordinator would be provided in advance with knowledge of what tasks need to be accomplished on a variety of community gardening sites.

Much of the coordinator's input time can be handled online and by phone. However, they would need to meet with and get to know every volunteer personally sufficiently well to provide the volunteer with confidence that their need for support would be fielded helpfully.
