Detailed description
Secret World Wildlife Rescue specialises in the rescue, rehabilitation and eventual release of orphaned and injured wild creatures. It is run entirely on donations and runs a wildlife rescue service in the South West of England. Each year, more than 5,000 wild animals are helped by Secret World Wildlife Rescue. Together with a dedicated team of staff and volunteers, we continue to care for all manner of creatures, from the tiniest harvest mice and bats to badgers, swans, foxes, deer and otters.
We have various events throughout the year.
We have more events coming up over the Summer, the first is the Healing Weekend from 12 – 14 July and the second is our Open Weekend 24-26 August. For both we require volunteers to help with several roles such as car parking, serving tea and coffee, taking food orders and helping on the bbq, manning stalls such as the tombola, adoptions scheme and activities like rescue a duck, treasure trails, crafts etc. We do have an application specifically for events on our website which can be found here https://www.secretworld.org/volunteer/special-event-days/

🤝 Extra supportAbout Secret World Wildlife Rescue
We are here 8am to 8pm, 365 days a year to rescue sick, injured or orphaned wildlife. If you find an animal in need of urgent attention outside these hours please contact your nearest veterinary surgeon. The casualty will then be transported to Secret World the following morning for ongoing care.
We rescue or advise the public on over 5,000 animals and birds a year including hundreds of wildlife orphans such as otters, badgers, foxes and birds of prey, which we hand-rear, care for and rehabilitate, sometimes for as long as 18 months depending upon the species.
