We are looking for Activity Leaders or Helpers to deliver fun games & activities with our 9-11-year-old group members.

Our sessions run every Tuesday evening (term time only) from 6:30-8pm with some time before /after to set up and pack away. If you cant do every week that is no problem - any time you can give is appreciated!

All of our activities have session plans that are easy to pick up and deliver. The sort of activities we run:

  • fun games and activities
  • fun mini experiments (e.g. make a boat out of tin foil and sink it with marbles / make a catapult from lollypop sticks)
  • arts and crafts (e.g create posters, make boats out of clay)
  • focus on the community, wellbeing, water safety, STEM (Science, technology, engineering, maths), teamwork.

Through these activities, we aim to build confidence, resilience and give young people skills that will last their lifetime. As one of our young people says:

“Since joining SeaVenturers I’ve made new friends, learned new skills, and had lots of fun doing STEM and active activities. I can feel my confidence growing. I’m happier answering questions now, helping others in my group, and I even helped lead some of the taster sessions at our open evening!” SeaVenturer - Maryam (Aged 10)

No experience necessary but an enthusiasm of working with young people and the community is essential. All volunteers will be required to get a DBS check (paid for by us).

Please get in touch for more information and we can arrange for you to come and see what its all about!
