We require several exhibition attendants to support the smooth running of our Birth Stories exhibition in September. To include welcoming visitors.
We are creating a multi media exhibition that will incorporate a number of topics related to birth and birth stories, taking place from Saturday September 26th to Sunday September 27th at Glastonbury Assembly Rooms.
We need several people to help both in the main exhibition space and also the smaller room (where a birth film will be playing - age restricted). We need people to be available for certain times possibly on a rota system or if you are able to offer a whole day then we will need less volunteers potentially.
We need volunteer support between 10 and 4 both days. The minimum hours we would hope a volunteer would contribute is 2 hours. So if you are interested, do let us know your availability.
Please note that reimbursements for travel can only be provided for local people as we have a very limited budget for this event. So please enquire about this further if you are not local and interested in helping.
We need people who are sensitive about the topics we are including (such as post natal life, baby loss and birth trauma).
Volunteers will be required to have a short induction either online via Zoom or in the centre just to familiarise themselves with the project and the Centre's aims etc. This will also be a chance to ask any questions prior to the event.
This is a community focused project and so we will encourage people to stay and immerse themselves in the installations and take the time they need to talk to us.
