Do you LOVE music? Do you play an instrument or sing with others? At our Taunton service, we have lots of people who would enjoy musical activities. Now all we need is someone to make it all happen! The music session will be an accessible activity for the people we support to enjoy music, make friends and have fun. As a volunteer you will devise fun, accessible music sessions and try to ensure everyone is having a good time. This is a really worthwhile and fun volunteering opportunity that will help make a difference to the lives of people with a learning disability. You don’t need to be Mozart or Whitney Houston to be a Music Group Volunteer Leader. More important is the ability to plan a range of songs and musical activities suitable for people with a learning disability. You will need enthusiasm to share the joy of music with others. To be a Volunteer Music Session Leader you need to: -Be over 18 years of age -Have knowledge and experience of delivering music activities -Be friendly and approachable -Be good at communicating and listening -Be reliable and patient This is a flexible volunteering role and will mostly be determined by the people we support. You would volunteer for 2 – 4 hours on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis.
