Do you enjoy watching sports – especially football? Are you a reliable and friendly person? If so, this is the perfect opportunity for you! One of the people we support is a sports fanatic – he is a huge Manchester United football fan, but doesn’t always have someone to share his passion with. He also enjoys going to Classic Car shows, and visiting the local pub for a drink and a chat. He is a bubbly gent with a bit of a cheeky side! He would really benefit from spending time with a Volunteer Sidekick who could watch the matches with him at home, and go out into the community together to have fun! To be a Volunteer Sports Fan Sidekick you need to be: -Over 18 years of age -Friendly and approachable -An interest in football: If you're a Manchester United FC Fan that would be a huge bonus - but not essential -Good communication and listening skills -Reliable and patient Benefits: -Personalised training and induction -To feel fully supported in your role -Agreed out-of-pocket expenses to be reimbursed (e.g. travel, a meal out with the person you visit) -Meet new people -Learn new skills -Feel appreciated and valued -You will be making a difference!
