Like children and young people?
We are looking to recruit more volunteer Independent Visitors and Advocates for children in Somerset.
As long as you are an adult there is no upper age limit, all genders and ethnicities required.
The roles:
Independent Visitor – An adult friend to a child or young person in local authority care. To meet every 2-4 weeks. A special person to talk to, have some fun with and create some positive childhood memories 😊 A commitment of 2 years is required.
Advocate – join our bank of volunteer advocates – you decide your availability. Assist a child or young person to have a voice at meetings concerning their wellbeing. E.g. Child Protection meetings, Children Looked After meetings.
We will provide the training, support and out of pocket expenses.
