Are you good at DIY? We're looking for volunteers who can help with tasks around our site. Tasks may include painting, carpentry or general grounds maintenance.

We are the RSPCA and it's our vision to live in a world where all animals are respected and treated with compassion. Our volunteers are incredible, they play an essential role in helping us carry out our important animal welfare work every day.

Are you good at DIY or a skilled tradesperson? We're looking for volunteers who can help us with maintenance tasks around our site. Tasks may include painting, carpentry (e.g., making duckling runs, fencing repairs), washing windows or site vehicles, various routine equipment checks and general maintenance of our centre and grounds. You may also be helping us to set up for open days, visits and other events on site.

In order to ensure the safety of yourself and all others on site, it is important that all health and safety guidelines are adhered to. Therefore, before you start, you'll need to complete some online training courses (induction, health and safety etc), but this won't take too long and it is an easy process.

You'll need to have a desire to get stuck in and a willingness to help and get your hands dirty. You should be happy to work indoors or outdoors throughout the year (weather dependent!).

If you want to keep active, make new friends, or use your skills to help others, this role might be perfect for you.

Our maintenance volunteers play an important role in keeping our animal and wildlife centre operational, safe and looking spick and span, helping our teams to focus on looking after the animals in our care.
