Do you have a passion for retail? Why not come and get involved in our shop. Tasks could include: · Working on the till, greeting and serving customers, and dealing with enquiries, both face to face and by phone. · To keep the shop tidy and attractive to customers · To ensure that the shop floor is clear of hazards at all times · To work with the manager to complete tasks as directed. · We encourage all shop floor volunteers to take on complementary roles during their time at Oxfam, such as stock culling, pricing, or merchandising. · Contributing towards decisions made in the shop, through staff meetings and one-to-one discussions with the shop manager. · An opportunity to gain new skills and experience in customer service. · A chance to develop skills in a number of areas, including training other volunteers, merchandising skills, and taking on additional responsibilities within the shop. · Retail experience. · Working as part of a diverse and dynamic team. · Your development and aspirations supported by your manager. · Local travel and lunch expenses paid · Contributing towards Oxfam’s goal of overcoming poverty and suffering. Ideally you will be able to complete a four hour shift.
