"Role Title: Minehead Guided Walk Volunteers - Minehead Tourist Information Centre supported by West Somerset Council
Main Activity: Leading guided walks around Minehead. This could involve leading three trails and/or any ideas leading a themed walk of your own creation."

"We intend to start with three trails already devised around Minehead, that are around 1½ hours long that are family friendly. We are also keen to hear if you have any interesting or quirky walk ideas of your own that could potentially be developed. Examples could be photography, treasure trail, family friendly ideas - the sky is the limit!
What you need to bring: Walking shoes / comfortable / sturdy shoes suitable for walking. Waterproof clothing.
What's in it for you: Meeting new people, experience and satisfaction of imparting your knowledge to visitors and locals who attend the guided walks. Getting out and about and keeping fit!"

"The Minehead Information Centre can be found in The Beach Hotel alongside the West Somerset Railway station, a stones
throw from the seafront. There is pay and display parking in the adjoining car park and along the seafront.
We sell a wide range of leaflets and brochures about places to visit and things to do in and around Minehead and the surrounding area. There is also a great selection of maps and guidebooks to help visitors explore the area on foot, by bicycle and in the car, plus bus timetables if they want to use public transport. There is also a range of locally-made gifts and crafts for sale.
The centre offers a free accommodation booking service on behalf of a number of the accommodation providers in Minehead and the surrounding area."
