We are looking for a treasurer for our small active group. We are a registered charity so experience would be useful but not essential as training can be given.

This is a trustee role and entails keeping the MDA accounts up to date and also submitting them to the Charity Commission. The trustees meet approximately four times a year but in between these times communication is usually by email.

It is a requirement to attend these meetings in this vital role - Although this role is voluntary is flexible, it is active and rewarding, working alongside trustees and other volunteers in the charity as a whole.

Experience would be useful but our existing treasurer who is retiring has offered to assist with training if required, but you must be comfortable learning/dealing with accounts and the charity commission.

MDA is committed to supporting local people with dementia along with their carers, family and friends. We are a very active group and run activities throughout the week. We also work in the community to raise awareness of dementia and the challenges that people with memory loss face.
