The role requires a volunteer to read through reports generated by Mindline call-handlers and edit them for accuracy. This should take between 2-4 hours per week and can be worked flexibly. The post holder will sometimes be required to read distressing reports of callers’ lives and issues. They will need to look for errors, find ways to improve reporting and implement changes. While editing will be done from home, they will have a line manager and will be expected to take part in regular line management and clinical supervision.
Computer or laptop with a reliable internet connection is required as well as forensic attention to detail and discretion while dealing with personal details of people experiencing poor mental health.

Mind in Somerset is an independent charity that has been formed from the merger, in October 2018, of Mind in Taunton and West Somerset and South Somerset Mind. The result is a charity able to deliver services for the whole of Somerset and to provide specific services to areas in adjoining counties.
